It was nearing sunset as the acid began to wear off. The dusty road had hidden some horrific monsters on that hour long drive but they too had faded. Frank had the wheel and I’m sure we could have avoided all of those creatures if we were so inclined. I had heard a few of the monsters snap and growl at the tyres of our car, hence why I had instructed Frank to drive at the speed of light. We had not long passed a road sign that read the name of a small and probably very backward Hicksville town. We had no intention of stopping until an ominous glow of red and blue flashed behind us. We knew that no amount of side-road bargaining with &ld
